Summary
The Controller is responsible for effectively implementing the corporate financial strategy, policy, and procedures through oversight of all financial activities. Builds strong relationships with key functional internal customers to effectively drive financial performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures consistent with US GAAP and HGB
- Manage a team of accounting professionals
- Financial statement preparation and presentation
- Support both internal and external audits
- Financial variance analysis and root cause countermeasures
- Product costing, development, and maintenance
- Annual budget preparation
- Monthly inventory verification and annual physical inventory
- Participate in and support new product development and margin enhancement initiatives
- Support and assist other functional areas of the plant
- Interacts with cross functional teams on a variety of operational issues
- Interacts with corporate professionals to share best practices and collaborate on initiatives
Representative Decisions
- Identifying financial trends and making recommendations for improved financial performance
- Provide accurate forecasts based on a wide set of data
- Team staffing and selection
Expected Outcomes
- Timely and accurate management of the financial records

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years corporate accounting in the manufacturing industry.
- 3 years managerial experience.
- Sarbanes-Oxley experience.
- Financial budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Strong standard cost accounting experience.
- Monthly inventory verification and yearly physical inventory experience.
- Strong communication with corporate (Public Company) experience

Must be willing to travel by all forms of transportation. Position requires ~10% travel.
