POSITION DESCRIPTIONWorking within a multicultural company as part of the reservations team, to co-ordinate accommodation enquiries, processing of booking requests as well as processing other requirements such as transports, lift passes, ski rentals and lessons. Based in Grand Hirafu Resort of the picturesque Niseko region, this position offers a rewarding and active lifestyle. APPLICANTS EXPERIENCE IN TRAVEL AND TOURISM INDUSTRY – preferred
MAIN TASKS:
- Working within and supporting the reservations team
- Receiving and replying to direct guest enquiries with information and quotes
- Receiving and replying to online enquiries with information and quotes
- Receiving and replying to agent enquiries with information and quotes
- Following up guest enquiries to ensure maximum conversion of bookings
- Anticipating guests needs and recommending components to enhance their trip
- Sending of guest confirmations and following up guest details and payments
KEY DUTIES:
- Corresponding with international guests via email and phone creating a wonderful experience from start to finish
- Assistance with and anticipation of guests travel needs and requests
- Co-ordination of the various components of a guests holiday package
- Efficient and accurate recording of booking details
- Assistance with any number of questions providing knowledgeable information
- Efficient communication between the teams, guests and agents
- Understanding and following of procedures and specific conditions for the various accommodations and suppliers
- Follow up on booking information, travel details and payments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent
- Fluent English is required – spoken, written and reading
- Japanese and/or Chinese bilingual language skills is not required however beneficial
- Experience in travel / tourism industry preferred
- Previous experience in a Reservations or Sales Position preferred
- Advanced computer skills; particularly Microsoft office applications and reservations based systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding the concept of exceptional service skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi task and work under pressure and to deadlines

REMUNERATION:
- 275,000JPY per month
EMPLOYMENT LOCATION:
- Niseko, Hokkaido on the north island of Japan and 90km’s from Sapporo city
EMPLOYMENT DATES:
Mid-Nov to Mid-Mar (Opportunity for early start or finish later, can be discussed at interview)
VISA REQUIREMENTS:
- To work from the Niseko office, you will need to meet visa requirements. SkiJapan will arrange the paper work for a sponsored visa
WORKING HOURS:
Standard working hours of 5 x days per week and average of 40 hours per week. Weekend work will be required during winter months. Hours will be flexible depending on operational needs however in general are from 8.30am to 5.30pm
