The department

Due to the increased activity and demand from our clients, we are looking to expand our sales team by adding one Planning Engineer / Solution Advisor.


We are looking for a strong candidate with Wireline, E-line and Powered Mechanical Services experience in the oil and gas industry to perform solution advisor job at the client office, or at Welltec office in Bergen.

The position

As a Solution Advisor you will plan and advise our clients about their well intervention operations on behalf of Welltec Oilfield Services Norway. The solution Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all technical documentation and information regarding client’s operations are handed over to Welltec operation.

The Solution Advisor is a member of the Commercial team and the main responsibilities are:
  • Meet target as per operational objectives and specific KPI’s.
  • Developing and identifying new opportunities for Welltec Interventions services that best fit our clients’ needs
  • Providing clients with technical support before, during, and after operations
  • Plan projects in accordance with Welltec guidelines and procedures
  • Attend meetings with clients
  • Keep and update performance Data record
  • Ensure high focus and work accordance with HSE regulations at all time
  • Close interaction with customers
  • Participate in local sales exhibitions
  • Participate in sales meetings with customers when applicable
  • Generating, developing, writing and presenting proposals, price quotes and other sales related information
  • Assisting in budgeting activities and contributing to marketing plans

The candidate

The preferred candidate has the following profile:

  • Relevant diploma / degree in Petroleum or electrical engineering technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within wireline and e-line operation
  • Show great attention to details and have a sound technical knowledge
  • Excellent Communications skills
  • Capability to both work alone and as a part of a dynamic team, as required
