EVENTS OFFICER
European Schoolnet is searching for a dynamic and precise professional, interested in
education and technology to join the Events Team. The Events Officer will work under
the supervision of the Head of Events and the Events Operational Manager. The
successful candidate will be involved in supporting the Events Team in organising various
face to face and online events with sizes ranging from 20-40 to 100-150 participants. The
Events Officer will have an insight into and impact on the management of various
European projects focusing on innovation in education. This position offers a great
opportunity to work in an international environment liaising with colleagues and
partners from all over Europe.
MAIN TASKS:
The successful candidate will manage the organisation and co-ordination of a broad
scope of online and onsite events from A to Z, and report to the Head of Events and
Events Operational Manager with the following tasks:
- Setting up and monitoring budgets, registration forms and pages, and invoicing
- Co-ordinating with our travel agencies in the travel arrangements of participants
- Liaising with venues and other external suppliers for any service required,
- Ensuring all events are well attended and delivered in a professional way.

PROFILE AND SKILLS:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of full-time work
- Excellent level of computer literacy (MS Office), with experience in multimedi a
- Fluent written and spoken English. Additional languages are an asset.
- The ability to independently manage own work in an accurate and precise manner
- Strong financial and reporting skills.
- Very good writing and communication skills.
- Ability to learn fast and deliver quality results while respecting deadlines .

Education from across Europe, leading educational innovation at European level. As a
major international think tank, European Schoolnet operates key European services in
education on behalf of member Ministries of Education, the European Commission, and
industry partners. European Schoolnet’s activities are divided among three areas of
work:
- Providing concrete evidence and data in the area of innovation in education on which
to base policy recommendations.
- Supporting schools and teachers in their teaching practices.
- Developing and sustaining a network of schools engaged in innovative teaching and
learning approaches.

- Duration: CDD for 6 months starting from August 2023. Possibility of extension for
the year 2024.
