Rushmoor has exciting plans and is in a good financial position, with balanced budgets set for the next two years. With a portfolio valued at £200m including a substantial community and operational estate there is a lot to get your teeth into. Our ambitious regeneration and development plans include bringing forward development such as Union Yard, Farnborough Civic Quarter and The Meads which will be adding a range of further assets to let and manage.
At whichever stage of your career you can expect a varied portfolio of work and, with our inclusive approach to project delivery, you will enjoy considerable scope to stretch yourself and develop your expertise and experience.
We don’t do ‘silos’ and are shaping an organisation that is not bound by process or bureaucracy, where colleagues are encouraged to collaborate, innovate and are genuinely empowered to take decisions. We think we have a great culture with a focus on leadership and developing our people. We are flexible in how we work and excited by the opportunity to innovate and improve services. Your success here will only be limited by your own ambition and you really will be able to make a difference.
As Rushmoor's Principal Asset Surveyor you will be responsible for overseeing the Strategic and Operational management of a substantial part of our portfolio including properties, land and estate. This will include Investment Operational and Community use assets.
You will manage these assets with commercial prowess to maximise the Council's return, whilst adhering to the principles of our Asset Management Plan.
Further you will help to mould and mentor trainee/ graduate members of the team, overseeing and directing their work and readying them for RICS assessment of professional competence.
