The Team:
In Maritime and Trade at S&P Global provide users with the ability to see where every ship is in the world with knowledge of where it comes from, goes to and details on who owns and operates that ship. We can also show what cargo is being moved in volume and value and the key people in the supply chain. Governments, Ship operators, port authorities, financials and cargo owners use our services to optimize supply chains, review operational activity and evaluate market positions.

General Job Duties:
Work in a team environment using Agile practices
Be a member of a team in small to mid-level sized programs or portions of a program
Collaborate closely with other developers, front-end designers, stakeholders, and internal customers
Monitor and report to management on project status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, recommend and implement corrective measures
Maintenance of existing systems
Perform other duties as required

Specific Job Duties:
Applicant should be willing to learn C# and .NET ecosystem
Applicant should be willing to learn TypeScript and React framework
Applicant will be supported to develop SQL or NoSQL skills
Applicant will likely have exposure to GIS technologies
Applicant will be supported to develop knowledge of Agile methodologies

Education/Experience Requirements:
Understanding of one or more high level programming languages
Knowledge of C# and/or TypeScript
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills – must be able to work effectively as part of a project/program team and foster team cooperation
Stays current with rapidly changing technology and applies it to business needs
Effective communication with a path to learning or improving English language skills

Organizational Relationships:
Will be given full support to develop technical skills and implement best practices
Acts in a team member capacity on small to mid-sized programs and has no direct supervisory responsibility
Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): GL5
