Your role:

Within Mother & Childcare Care (MCC) we committed ourselves to embed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in the organization to support sustainability. LCA’s help us on Product and Service development, Sustainable claim underpinning, and Science based targets for our sustainability vision and strategy. Your role will include:

  • Application of LCA in the mentioned topics.

  • Enabling sustainable ideation, and addition to roadmap, and then towards development.

  • Understanding Sustainability claims, how to create and prove using LCA, including communication to consumers and legal limitations.

  • Sustainability insights on products that last and products that flow, including change to circular economy.

  • Create and build MCC database LCA’s & Support in LCA process definition and implementation

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master degree in: Industrial Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Material Sciences.

  • Interested in science-based approach to product/service development using LCA to guide decision making and design thinking.

  • Analytical bend of mind; knowledgeable and enthusiastic on product design, engineering, and sustainability

  • Willing to join our team in Eindhoven High Tech Campus onsite (hybrid working is our standard, on site availability minimum 1-2 days a week)

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue Assessment. We are not able correspond the outcome of this HireVue Assessment but will use this as extra selection criteria.

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop

Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
